Fixtures with Colour Wheels

I'm struggling using fixtures with colour wheels as opposed to CMY colour mixing. Mainly I have a handful of Elation EspotLED2s and whenever I move then to a different cue involving a colour change it has to cycle through the wheel to get to the next colour therefore a change from (for example) white to magenta becomes white, red, blue, magenta etc.


I know this is simply how colour wheels operate but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to stop undesired colours being cycled through when getting from one colour to another?
