Is a Quickq 10 a good board for busking?

Postby namie69 » Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:47 am

I've been looking at intermediate boards, and one I've found in my price range is a Chamsys Quickq 10. I primarily light bands/live shows and need a good board for busking. Is this board a good option for that?
mostly a matter of the size of your rig. it only supports one universe out of the box. it's a very simplified console, honestly i'm not sure if i'd be comfortable with it as my primary for busking.

QuickQ10 is not made for Moving lights, then you need QuickQ20.
Is it a good choice? Depends on what you want to do. Contact your local distributor and ask for a demo!

You can buy QuickQ 10
There is only one difference
Not 10 faders multifunction
Only 2 caser and 1 cue stack

For bands it's OK with 1 Universe.
You only need a few lighting scenes and maybe one or two running lights / Caser ...
Cue-Stack are for theater or musical

You can spontaneously operate 20 lamps with FAder Parcan or LED
and you can program 20 lighting moods.

many heads or LEDs have built-in programs.
You can even do great shows with an old 24-channel dimmer light desk.
Costs only 300.-

Patch dimmer on 1 channel and patch effects on one channel
and you can even control 12 LEDs with a 24-channel console.

Patch dimmer on channel 1 and patch color wheel on channel 2 and patch moving macros on channel 3.
That gives 8 moving heads on an old dimmer light desk.

With clever logic is very much possible for little money :-)
