Note users should NOT use beta versions to to create shows that they plan to use on earlier software versions such as stable version  Latest personalities (from v1.7.4.4 and from heads.all file) have CTO and CTB colour assigned to new attributes which if loaded on software versions prior to will appear as pan/tilt attributes   Users can easily work around the issue in these earlier versions by editing the heads in the Head Editor to reassign the channels to colour attributes.

MQ80 users are advised to upgrade to latest stable version due to stability issues and potential issues with older versions when shutting down the MQ80 when running versions older than v1.7.3.8

KNOWN ISSUE - MQ40N - graphics performance slow in versions up to v1.7.2.1.  We recommend to upgrade MQ40Ns to the latest stable.  Does not affect any other consoles..

KNOWN ISSUE - Mac OSX10.11 EL Capitan - requires v1.7.1.0 MagicQ or above.

KNOWN ISSUE - old style Extra wing connection problems v1.7.2.4. Users of these wings are advised to upgrade.

We cannot guarantee that beta versions will be stable and they should not be used in a critical show environment.

Head Files

The MagicQ software includes the latest heads (personalities). To download an updated set of heads for your MagicQ install, refer to the instructions below. The heads library is updated online daily, so the link below will always be up to date to the last 24 hours.

Note that these heads contain major change to colour attributes.  We recommend ugrading to stable software BEFORE loading the new heads file.


iOS / Android Remote Application

Have you updated to the latest remote application? 

There is a new Android application in the Google Play Store called "MagicQ Remote Control"  - this has many more features than the old Android app.  Note this is a new application with a different name that you must install - you cannot update the old Android app.

There is also a newer version of the iOS app available from the Apple AppStore.
