Movement Acceleration effects?

Postby doug86 » Fri Feb 01, 2019 2:46 pm

Hi All,

Quick query which may not be possible...

Is there a way to program a move so that the Pan & Tilt rate of change either accelerate or decelerate (or both) over the course of the fade?

For example, imagine cue 1 with positions set.

Hit go on the stack and the fixtures move to a new position, moving fast at first but slowing down as they move, gradually slowing to a stop as they reach the new position.

Akin to assigning a curve to the fade?

Many thanks in advance!

Yes this is possible. See Programmer - View Times - Individual Times, here you can specify a fade time and type of fade.

That's perfect thanks! Very simple.

Just as an additional thought, is it possible to change the parameters of the acceleration? for example have them decelerate over the whole move vs decelerating just towards the end?
