Edit head with duplicate elements & Shutter

Postby PolDavril » Wed Jan 15, 2020 3:16 pm

Hello,

This is about JB SYSTEMS > ORION > 7ch 4DE.

With the head file from the standard library, once the dimmer set, the visualiser always displays the 4 beams on, whatever the mode and the pattern chosen.
This is probably due to the "FX1 Prism" parameter set for the channels 2 through 5 (the pattern / chase number), where the DMX values 0 through 9 means "Pattern/Chase Off", so there should be no visible beam.

Moreover, each beam can be controled separately, for example beam 1 on, 2 and 3 off, beam 4 on.

I've got a solution to make a more accurate and complete head file, changing to "Shutter" for channels 2 through 5 and "Open" and "Closed" status for the ranges.
Doing this, I loose the "Strobe" function for channel 6 because this shutter overrides the shutters of channels 2 through 5.

SO MY QUESTION for the head file : is there another way than "Shutter" to make the beam ON or OFF in the visualiser, depending on DMX values ranges ?

No only shutter and dimmer switch the beam off. Or if no shutter or dimmer, setting RGB to 0 = no light.
