Show attributes col1/col2 in percentages

Postby MaxVMH » Thu Sep 19, 2019 1:35 pm

I'm making a custom personality file for the ETC Source 4 Led Series 2 TungstenHD in direct mode which has these color channels: red/amber/mint/cyan/indigo.

Since cyan and red are the same attribute, I have picked Col1 for cyan. I used Col2 for indigo. Now in the color page the encoders for red & amber go from 0% to 100% while cyan & indigo go from 0 to 255.

How can I get attributes cyan & indigo to also show percentages instead of the DMX channel value? Or should I use unused attributes as magenta/green, yellow/blue, ... ?

There are some issues with the personality file:
Source4Lustr2 & Source4LEDS2 in direct mode: red works, green controls cyan, blue controls nothing, cyan controls indigo, amber controls mint, lime controls amber, indigo controls nothing.

TungstenHD in direct mode (says 8 channels instead of 10) also doesn't work.

But I'm mainly wondering how to get the value range from 0-255 to 0%-100%.

In case you are interested:

According to the manual the channels in direct mode (10ch.) are (it only lists 8 channels for 10 channel mode):
1 – Red
2 – Red Orange
3 – Mint
4 – Blue
5 – Indigo
6 – Intensity
7 – Strobe
8 – Fan Control

But in reality it is:
1 – Red
2 – Amber
3 – Mint
4 – Cyan (or something like that)
5 – Indigo
6 - Nothing
7 - Nothing
8 – Intensity
9 – Strobe
10 – Fan Control

I think you need to update your library! Direct mode is 10channel in the library!
- be sure you use software version 1.8.3.1 or higher
- Best to update your library
- if you then still have problems, report them, then they can be solved for every one

Range can only be changed for all attributes, not for some. You can do it in Setup - View Settings - Windows - Attribute Display.

Channel list you give is not conform the manual of ETC. Color attributes in ChamSys MagicQ is exactly conform with the ETC manual!
