What doesn't work with the colors?
If you turn the encoder X of the colour wheel in the Color Window, does the color change?

i tested it here and see the color icons changing next to the encoder and also in the output.
So i think you have a not up to date software version?

This fixture has no dimmer channel, so it will be the shutter or color or gobo wheel at 0.

there should be a channel that closes the beam. But it is fixture depended. So you have to check the manual of the fixture.

Fine Control: if 16-bit channels: use the same wheel/encoder while keeping shift pressed.

If you set the shutter channel at 0 and the beam doesn't close on the real fixture, then the problem is in the Fixture. If it happens only in the visualiser, then report it in the bug tracker.
