Mini Wing problem

Postby sigisfoto » Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:25 pm

Hi
I bought Mini Wing. Everything works fine except some random flashes. I sent it back for replace. Today I get new one. This new device not working at all on same computer, same software and same show file as with previous console:

Later I connect it even thru powered USB hub (older one worked without it), bur result was the same.
Please notice this software and show file working well with EnttecPro DMX.
What is working wrong? Console or something else?

Contact the reseller. He is the first one to contact if it doesn't work.

I returned the first item. Reseller changed it and sent a me new one. But it also has the same problem - some random flashes. New one probably is with different firmware because it not works with MagicQ v1.7.8.1 for MAC at all as previous device but start working with v1.7.9.7 beta. I need to work, bu I can't!!
Question - what should I do? All your consoles are same and don't work properly?
What about ChamSys MagicQ PC Wing Compact? Have these console same problem?. This device is too costly for my but I don't know what to do..

This is a user forum! So, you get most of the time answers from users!

Only the mini wing, from a certain revision, had this problem. And not even all mini wings of that revision.
Problem can also come from the spots itself. ChamSys DMX output has a high rate, but fits in the specifications of DMX. Some Chinese spots don't like this high rate and then give flickering from time to time.

What should you do; contact your supplier and test it with him!

Thanx.
Is it normal that MiniWing not working with official stable version of MagicQ and works with beta version? BTW beta is not stable indeed..

Latest revision of the Mini Wing is indeed only supported by the latest beta. This is normal!

I am having the same issue with the Mini Wing that I received today. The lighting fixtures in use are ADJ Mega Par Profile Plus and they have a random flash that started when I run them through the Mini Wing. The fixtures do not flash when I run them through the MagicQ DMX (Full) dongle. I need to try the wing with another computer and see if that clears up the issue. If not, I will be contacting the company that I got the wing through.
