Shutter channel in intensity instead of beam

Postby jwbosch » Sat Jan 30, 2021 10:57 pm

Just a philosophy question.

For strobing(shutter) i have to go to the beam properties of fixtures, while it doesn't control the beam, like gobo, iris or prism does. It's more a intensity thing in my opinion.

Besides that it would clear out the numerous options you have in the beam section a bit and giving the intensity windows a little boost.

Shutter is defintely a beam attribute. It is not dimming it is cutting the beam. We will not change something that is a standard in many ligjhting controlers.
