Please note: the MagicQ MIDI/Timecode interface from ChamSys is currently unavailable.
MagicQ software version v18.104.22.168 on PC and Mac supports 3rd party USB-MIDI and virtual MIDI devices for receiving timecode and MIDI beat clock when a MagicQ Wing or Interface is connected to the system. MIDI notes input to MagicQ is only supported via 3rd party interfaces when a Rack Mount Dongle is connected.
For LTC on PC and Mac systems ChamSys recommends the Adrem Solutions TC1. Note a MagicQ Wing or Interface (Dual DMX, Mini Wing, PC Wing or Rack Mount dongle) is required to enable the support for this device.

Multipupose MIDI and LTC Timecode Interface
- MIDI notes and MIDI show control
- MIDI Timecode, EBU25, SMPTE30, NTSC30, Film 24

All the common timecode protocols including EBU25, SMPTE30, NTSC30, Film 24.
MIDI input can be used to trigger playbacks and other features via MIDI notes. MagicQ can be programmed to trigger specific playbacks/cues/macros from specific MIDI notes*.
The Interface supports standard MIDI Show Control for triggering Cues and Cue Stacks. This enables MagicQ to be used together with other consoles/software and systems that support the MIDI Show Control protocol.
MIDI Notes commands can be output from each Cue in Cue Stacks using simple MIDI strings.
MagicQ Pro2014 console's have a built in MIDI/Timecode module as standard with MIDI in, MIDI out, LTC in and LTC out..
MagicQ MIDI/Timecode Interface comes with a USB cable and instruction sheet.
For security reasons MagicQ limits the number of playbacks that can be controlled using MIDI and the remote protocols. On MagicQ consoles PB1 to PB34 can be controlled. On MagicQ PC, playbacks PB1 to PB10 can be controlled.
